Experience
I attended Washington State University, where I acquired my bachelor's degree in geology and biology. I also have successfully finished my M.Ed. at the University of Washington. I have experience as a professional teacher. I have taught a number of subjects, including algebra, physics, and biology. I have taught these subjects at a high school level and have done so for approximately 2 years. I also have experience working as a sub for a local school district. As a sub teacher, I have worked with both middle and high school students. As for my teaching style, I firmly believe that a student centered approach is the way to go. It is important that I get to know each of my students and form a bond with them. This allows me to correlate their individual likes and dislikes with what I am teaching. In turn, I find that my students seem more attentive and engrossed in their studies and the overall learning process. Beyond academia, I also am a teacher for a Tai chi class. When I am not working with students, I spend a lot of time playing video games and watching science fiction television shows. I also love comic books and going to many of their fun conventions.
