Carrying the responsibility of educating a younger generation, in addition to being a student myself, forced me to prioritize my goals. Teachers shaped my life more than perhaps even my parents, and I knew that they were my first responsibility. This job forced me to ask myself the big questions: what can I contribute to these kids? How can I contribute to my society? The job was not about me. It was about how to make these kids better people, dancers, students, etc. I hope I continue to keep teaching in my life. It's where I have learned the most.
